In South Africa currently you need to either register with the Department of Education and/or with The Pestalozzi Trust pestalozzi.org/en/ . This is a trust of lawyers dedicated to fighting for homeschoolers rights in South Africa.
They charge a yearly subscription of R1200 per homeschooling family. Once you have paid they will assist you with any legal matter regarding homeschooling during the year that follows payment. Please remember that you cannot ask them for help if you are not subscribed.
